If you reside and manage a field in the Midwest, you have been experiencing heavy rainfall events in early April after a cold March. Now that the turf is greening up, fields are wet and cutting the fields on a regular basis can be difficult. The following was observed on a tall fescue playing surface yesterday:
As can be seen from the photos, the 1/3 rule was violated and the tall fescue is being cut too low.
