I was in Cincinnati, OH yesterday. I stopped by Cheviot Fieldhouse in Cheviot, OH. My task was to look at a baseball field that was build in 1937. Here are a few photos:
The bleachers are from the original Cheviot Race Track. Could this field be in line for a significant renovation in 2012? Stay tuned to the SmartTurf Blog for updates throughout the year.

Hi Jamie,
ReplyDeleteIn 2004, we did a major overhaul of Cheviot memorial field...(www.oakesturf.com)...Facebook / Oakes turf management...stirred up a lot of controversy as adult softball wanted it out, and community politics led to the infield being removed and replaced with a smaller / much lesser product by a local kids baseball organization...football through a wrench in things as well (public park brings out the worst in people I suppose)...anyway, there's a 74 head sprinkler system out there that hasn't be utilized properly for quite sometime, and up keep is non existent at best...I know the RCF is planning some work out there, hope it's potential can be realized...good luck! You may need it!
